Day 004 - Seaside to Garibaldi

Happy Monday! Today was the first day of a 'normal' day on the road. Meaning that work and school had to happen. I had a meeting with my boss this morning and we went over plans for the upcoming week. Maria and Cooper did their individual school... we have yet to do 'family school' but we did go on quite a few field trips today. After work/school and checking out of our room we headed over to the Seaside Aquarium. So much fun! They have harbor seals that have attitude. They were so great. They would slap their fins, splash the water, or point to their mouths with their flippers to show you where they wanted the little fishies thrown. There is also a couple of pools where you can touch starfish, anemonies, and sand dollars. I had never seen a sand dollar move before... it was pretty cool. I remember when I was a kid we went somewhere and there was a pool where we could touch sea animals and I remember the anemonies and thinking it was the coolest thing ever! We then went out to the beach. Maria told me that she wants to live in a house on the beach when she grows up and she wants to run on the beach every day. Cooper just likes getting wet and playing in the water. We stood on the beach and roared back at the waves. Driving out of town Maria saw something that looked interesting so we had to turn around and go back. Maria and Cooper spent a couple of hours up in the 'trees' at High Life Adventure Park. They had a BLAST! Their favorite part was doing the free fall. It was hard watching sometimes... heights still freak me out, even if I am standing on the ground. They had some picnic benches below where I set up shop for a bit. We did a drive by of Cannon Beach, but didn't get out, the wind was picking up. It was beautiful though and would be SO nice in the summer. We made it to the Tillamook Creamery and did a tour. My favorite part was watching the workers weigh the cheese. Cooper liked eating ice cream and Maria liked the little baby cow that was made out of glass. We are now at our hotel for the evening. I've still got some work to do and we have some reading to do for 'family school'.

Maria: Today we went to a park that we ziplined on sort of. We also saw some seals and one of them poked its paw thing on its mouth signaling 'this is where my food goes'. We also went to a beach that got my shoes soacked. Then we went to the hotel and i did cross stitch.

Cooper:today was great we had a awsome time there was adventure, fun,i realy liked it
