Day 005 - Garibaldi to Coos Bay
Day #2 of work/school on the road. It didn't go as smoothly as I wanted it to. Hopefully it will smooth out and we will all get the school/work we need to get done done!
We drove down the coast...
it is absolutely beautiful.
In researching things to do a friend suggested checking out the Sea Lion Caves near Florence, OR. I checked it out and with covid and Oregon getting shut-down again it looked like we wouldn't be able to see the sea lions. But lucky us, as we drove by there were people in the parking lot so we went and checked it out and they were letting people in... not many at a time, but we were able to get in. There was only one sea lion in the cave... a big boy. The others were lounging on the rocks. To get to the caves you had to take an elevator 215 feet down into the caves. Maria did not like being down there. They were trying to find the rock-nob that would lead to the secret lair in the caves.
We made it to Coos Bay. We filled up with gas...for the second time and our first time in Oregon.
For dinner tonight Maria & I had salad. Cooper decided that he wanted spam and rice. So he got an individual size package of spam and a microwavable bag of rice. He loved the spam, but wasn't too fond of the microwave rice.
Popcorn for dessert and the Netflix movie of The Mitchells vs The Machines.... and a little more work for me!
Maria: Today we went to a sea lion place. There was an above ground place and we saw lots of sea lions and heard there call only three of them were moving the rest of them looked like they were dead. The only ones that were moving were a baby and 2 adults. Then we went 215 feet undergrond so 215 rulers. After we got to the hotel we went to walmart to get dinner and I got a book called "HAWK" by James Patterson and Gabrielle Charbonnet. It is really good.It is also a seaql to "The angel experiment'MAXIMUM RIDE". Its is about a girl named Hawk (she does not know her real name) who Faught to save the world but disappeared. She does not remember anything But can remember faces really well. She waits for her parents at the same place every day. There a Quote in the dust jacket that says
"BUT ITS NOT A RESCUE MISSION."
"IT'S AN EXECUTION."
And I thought that was really cool. So far i have read the prologue and it is cool.
Cooper:So it was the third best day of my life!I got a seal stuffy named ozzy,we saw a sea lion up close, and last but least WE...drove.For four hours!FOUR HOURS!Well at least it wasn't boring. We got to watch a movie... And thats it.ok.also dear tree have a good day.P.S.this is meant for you nana.
